PTSA Fundraisers
Did you ever wonder why the Cherry Crest Elementary PTSA is often asking for your support for fundraising efforts? Or what these funds are used for? The PTSA supports a variety of worthwhile activities that play a vital role in creating a rich and stimulating learning environment at Cherry Crest Elementary School. The more funds we can raise with your help, the bigger the benefit for all students during the ongoing school year. So yes, we do encourage you to support the PTSA financially. Even the smallest contribution is greatly appreciated! THANK YOU!
How You Can Help
There are three ways you can directly support Cherry Crest Elementary PTSA financially:
- Donate directly to Cherry Crest Elementary PTSA. Because Cherry Crest Elementary PTSA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization according to federal tax laws, all donations are tax-deductible.
- Corporate Matching: There are many Cherry Crest Elementary families who are employed by corporations that match donations and sometimes volunteer hours. We encourage families to participate. - Fundraising: Participate in one of our three Major fundraising activities.

Major Fundraising Activities
Walkathon The Cherry Crest PTSA Walkathon is one of three Fundraisers held on an annual basis. The Walkathon is held every year on the first Friday of October. The Walkathon funds the bulk of the PTSA’s working budget for the year. Students collect donations for the event, and then walk laps around the school track. It is as much a community building event as a fundraiser. Money raised is used to fund things such as staff development, family nights, including the Ice Cream Social and Pumpkin Carving Event, Staff appreciation and new literature for classrooms.
Spring Fundraiser The spring fundraiser, the Annual Dinner & Auction, is the primary fundraiser for the Cherry Crest PTSA. Critical funds raised at this event provide for Curriculum Enhancement & Classroom Support in all grades for the upcoming academic year. The Dinner & Auction is a great opportunity to spend an evening with fellow parents and teachers, and to bid on your child’s classroom art project, Teacher’s Favorite Books, Teacher Outings, and the ever popular Principal for a Day!
Click here for further details and how to get involved with the Spring PTSA Dinner and Auction. Book Fair The Cherry Crest Annual Book Fair is held every January for a 3 day fun-filled family event.
Funds raised from the Book Fair have one purpose: To purchase new books
for our student library. Every year kids and their families are allowed
to shop to their hearts content from a wide selection of books for young and old. Kids love the wide array of games, puzzles, toys and posters
offered with the Book Fair. Parents love to browse the amazing selection of books at such reasonable costs. For every dollar spent at the Book
Fair, our Librarian, Mrs. Janna Lux, has more dollars to spend on the latest editions of books for our children.

Sally Foster Sales Purchase your birthday & holiday gift wrap, chocolates and gifts for all ages with Sally Foster and support Cherry Crest at the same time. 40% of evey purchase goes back to our school!!
