SJCC “Hands on Hanukkah” Family Programming

The Stroum Jewish Community Center has created some wonderful Hanukkah programming for Eastside families this year!

Hands on Hanukkah, Dec 3-4

To raise awareness and a greater understanding of the Jewish community, the SJCC has created a series of FREE pop up events, called Hands on Hanukkah. SJCC Staff will be at six different locations throughout the Seattle area to celebrate the holiday with arts and crafts and tasty treats for children of all ages. We hope that families of all faiths will join us and learn about the miracle of Hanukkah!

Eastside Locations:

·       Mercer Island Farmers Market on Nov 21 from 10a-3p: sjcc.org/event/hands-on-hanukkah-at-mercer-island-harvest-market

Virtual Hanukkah Storytime, Nov 30 at 5:30p

Celebrate the third night of Hanukkah with a special evening of stories and songs! Meet Kugel the Dog and Shloyml Boyml and his Lucky Dreydl, when PJ Library author Ann Koffsky and klezmer musician Yale Strom read their stories for us. They’ll also lead fun holiday activities and entertain us with the lively klezmer song “Latkes.” Both books are available for purchase and make great Hanukkah presents! Recommended for ages 8 and under.
