Thanks to your generosity, the Walkathon raised over $48,000, bringing our total for Giving Month + Walkathon to $168,000 — just 16% shy of our $200K annual goal.

What a fantastic Walkathon! The energy, enthusiasm, and school spirit on display were truly inspiring. Students walked, cheered, danced, and supported one another throughout the event, creating memories that will last all year long.
Most importantly, our Cherry Crest community came together to support the programs, enrichment opportunities, and experiences that make our school extraordinary.
On behalf of the Cherry Crest PTSA, thank you to every student, parent, teacher, volunteer, sponsor, and donor who made this event possible.

Our Annual Volunteer Tea on June 9 was a wonderful celebration of the many volunteers who help make our school community thrive. The morning included coffee, tea, breakfast, flower arranging, and the presentation of our Golden Acorn Awards to volunteers who have gone above and beyond in service to our school. One of the most memorable moments was the volunteer parade through the building, where students lined the halls with handmade signs and cheers of appreciation. It was a heartwarming reminder of the impact our volunteers have every day. Thank you to all who give their time, energy, and talents to support our students and staff!

Going on Vacation? It is expected that families will schedule their vacations and activities to coincide with the school calendar. We understand that some absences cannot be rescheduled or prevented from overlapping with school. Nonetheless, absences for vacations, sports tournaments, dance competitions, family travel, trips of a lifetime, etc. must be prearranged and approved to be considered excused under district policies (BSD Policy 3122, Procedure 3122P https://bit.ly/3dnFZzI).
|
You can download a copy of the prearranged absence form directly from our school’s website: https://bsd405.org/cherrycrest/report-an-absence/ or pick up a copy in the main office. We ask that you submit the form at least 2 weeks in advance to allow time for review by the teacher, and approval from the Assistant Principal.
