Walkathon is our year end fundraiser to close the $40k PTSA budget gap for the year. We are excited to bring you this community event before the end of the school year.
|
There will be opportunities for parents to participate too just like last year and grade level prizes for participating and fundraising.
|
This is an after school event from 2:30pm to 4pm. Parent supervision is required and permission slips will be sent home for participating.

Thank you for helping make Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week so special! Whether you donated items from the Amazon Wishlist, signed up to bring food, wrote a heartfelt card, or found another way to celebrate and honor our incredible Charger staff — we are truly grateful.
|
Your generosity, time, and kindness made our teachers and staff feel seen, valued, and appreciated all week long. It takes a village to support a school community, and Cherry Crest families continue to show just how amazing that village is.
|
With the support of the PTSA and our community, we were able to treat staff to some wonderful surprises. We’re excited to share a few photos of the appreciation they received thanks to you!

National Teacher Appreciation week is May 4-8! Let’s honor our amazing Cherry Crest STAFF with a wonderful week filled with appreciation and gratitude! The PTSA will provide pieces, but we need families and students to participate, too!

Theme: Teachers are like good books, they can change you forever!

Schedule and how to participate:

-Monday 5/4: B: Bring your teacher their favorite flower or make a bookmark for them (*PTSA provided coffee delivery)
|
-Tuesday 5/5: O: Offer words of gratitude with a card or note for your teacher (*PTSA provided activity and treat)
|
-Wednesday 5/6: O: Original idea—Do something unique for your teacher, think outside the box. (*PTSA provided lunch)
|
-Thursday 5/7: K: Know your teacher’s favorite snack or treat? Bring it for them!(*PTSA provided and family donated snack packs) Sign-up to provide snacks here.

Grade 5 Fundraiser – Applebee’s Flapjack Breakfast
|
We are excited to bring back a beloved Cherry Crest Elementary tradition!
|
Join us as a community for a fun and meaningful breakfast at our neighborhood Applebee’s on Saturday May 9 from 8am-10am.
|
This special event will be hosted by our 5th grade students, who will greet you, take your orders, serve your meals, and help with cleanup.
|
It’s a wonderful opportunity to gather with friends and family while supporting the Cherry Crest Elementary 5th graders!
|
- Anyone coming will need a ticket for breakfast. (This includes 5th graders!)
- We need to sell +100 tickets by April 25 to host the event—otherwise, Applebee’s may cancel it due to low participation.
- Once we reach over 100 tickets, we will open volunteer sign-up sheets for our 5th graders to participate in this special experience.
Students will take turns greeting guests, taking orders, serving, and helping with cleanup, while still having time to sit down with their families and enjoy their own breakfast.
|
We encourage you to invite your extended family, friends, and neighbors to join. Simply bring your email receipt of tickets and show them upon arrival for your party.
|

Attention 1st Grade Families! April is your month for Staff Appreciation!
What is Staff Appreciation? Each year Cherry Crest families show their appreciation for our outstanding educators by volunteering to provide food, beverages, and paper products throughout the school year to help restock the staff room and encourage our teachers with a monthly breakfast. Each Grade is assigned one month to focus their efforts… April is your month!
