We are proud to recognize the students who earned an achievement score of 15 points or above during the 2026 AMC 8 at Cherry Crest, under the leadership of Mrs. Lee. The AMC 8 is a national middle school math competition that challenges students’ problem-solving skills.

Girls on the Run is coming back to Cherry Crest for the Spring 2026 Season! Girls on the Run is so much more than running. 3rd through 5th grade participants will have fun, make friends, increase their physical activity levels, and learn important life skills.

Meeting twice per week after school, the season lasts 8 weeks and runs from the week of March 23rd through the week of May 18th with a celebratory 5K fun run at Renton Memorial Stadium on Sunday, 5/17, to cap off the season. Meetings take place at Cherry Crest and will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:30-4:15pm.

On May 20, runners from the Sri Chinmoy Oneness Home Peace Run spoke to students about their mission of spreading peace around the globe, performed their peace song and joined students for a few laps around the track with the peace torch. Special thanks to Rupasi Young for including Cherry Crest Elementary on their route for the first time ever!

Congratulations to 5th graders Ender and Parker in Ms. Hemker’s class who both completed a marathon (26.2 miles) and were awarded certificates by Mrs. Stedman in class. Running Club is a free, optional club available to students during lunch recess every day except Wednesday.

PSLA offers 4 weeks of half-day (9am-1pm) summer camp from June 27th to July 22nd for students entering 3rd, 4th, or 5th grades in the 2022-2023 school year.

PSLA offers a wide variety of themes, ranging from theatre to STEM to Olympics, and everything in between. We have designed this camp to be 100% outdoor and fun for everyone. This is PSLA’s third year, and we are extremely grateful to be able to serve the Cherry Crest community.

Open Transfer Applications for the 2022-23 school year will be accepted beginning Monday December 6, 2021. The application period will close Friday January 14, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. Results will be emailed in February for high school, March for middle school, and April for elementary school.

All applicants must be residents of the Bellevue School District at the time of application. Residency documents will be requested at the time of enrollment. (The children of fulltime BSD employees may apply.)

The BSD Transportation Department reminds you to please exercise patience during drop-off and pick-up times at our schools and bus routes. Families may be experiencing bus arrival and departure delays at various stops because of the increased volume of drivers to our schools. We are working through the increase in traffic while studying the traffic patterns and adjusting as needed. Your patience during this process is appreciated.
