School-wide Staff Appreciation Week Happening Now!

We're celebrating School-wide Staff Appreciation Week! In support of National Teacher Appreciation Week, we have planned special treats for our wonderful Cherry Crest educators all week long. All families are encouraged to participate.
|
- Tuesday, May 3- PTSA sponsors personalized Starbucks orders
- Wednesday, May 4 – Families donate items for staff breakfast
- Thursday, May 5 – PTSA sponsors make-your-own snack bags
- Friday, May 6 – PTSA sponsors catered lunch

As part of Walk-a-thon, several classes won a party in the gym on Friday, May 13. PTSA supplies the activities, but we need volunteers to run the games. Please sign up if you can help during these special celebrations for our students. Questions? E-mail walkathon@cherrycrest-ptsa.org

This is a great chance to learn about the structure and functioning of Cherry Crest PTSA and how we work along with staff, students and families.

You will be witnessing the approval of the 2022-2023 budget in this meeting. We hope to see you there!

The PTSA Communications team has two volunteer openings for the 2022-2023 school year.
|
We seek a VP for Communications, who oversees the work of the volunteers who assemble the weekly Charger Chatter newsletter, the PTSA website, the Facebook page, and and maintains the online student directory. Time commitment is approximately 2 hours/week. Technical knowledge is not required!
|
Second, one of our webmaster parents is graduating out of Cherry Crest. We seek a co-webmaster to help keep our website current and informative. Job responsibilities include adding news posts each week, and modifying, editing, or retiring webpages. Responsibilities will be shared, and typically involves 2 hours of work, two weeks of every month. The skills needed to maintain our WordPress website are easy to pick up. No priori experience required!

We'll give an overview of this year’s Math Club. How it went, and appreciation, and any feedback from the community and we will introduce next year’s plan for Math, Science and Robotics.
|
We will encourage all math club kids with medals on their success, followed by an ice-cream social.
|
This event is open to all rising 3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, current 5th grade kids, and parents from Cherry Crest who are interested.

Principal Steere invites you to join him at this year’s Spring for Schools luncheon, hosted by the Bellevue Schools Foundation at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue on May 13th.
|
This year, the Foundation distributed over $800,000 in funding for mental health resources, computer science initiatives, early learning enrollment, music, certification for district educators, classroom innovation, arts enrichment, and more.
