Welcome to the Annual Cherry Crest Elementary PTSA Read-a-thon!
The Read-a-thon is a yearly Cherry Crest tradition and one of the major fundraisers of the PTSA. Students gather sponsors to pledge money, read during a school break, and earn prizes for the amount that they read and donations they raise. It is a fun school-wide event that encourages students to use the reading skills they develop in the classroom in a way that helps to raise funds to support important PTSA-sponsored programs like Curriculum Enhancement and General School Assistants (extra support in the classroom!!). Read-a-thon 2020 took place over the Thanksgiving weekend, November 25th-29th, with a pajama day kickoff on the 25th.

Together, we exceeded our fundraising goal, raising a total of
$40,204! We can continue supporting important PTSA-sponsored programs like Curriculum Enhancement and
General School Assistants providing extra hands in the classroom!
If your student won a Cherry Crest Celebration Pack, Mega Celebration Pack or a STEM/Robotic Toy Hamper in the Read-a-thon, you can come pick up your prize this Saturday. Not sure if they won? Check the
list of prize winners.
In addition, if you missed the earlier Read-a-thon t-shirt and
jump rope pickup in November, stop by to pick up your student’s shirt and jump rope at the distribution.
Location: Cherry Crest, in front of the building
Time: Saturday December 12th, 9am – noon
Please wear a mask and practice social distancing!
We would like to extend a big thank you to Mr. Steere, Mrs. Lux and all of the Cherry Crest teachers and staff for supporting this Cherry Crest Comm(unity) fundraising event, and to Kaliber Global for generously donating prizes.
