Math and Science Clubs

With year 2022-2023, we are excited to announce Math Club and Science club will be running in Cherry Crest. 3rd-5th graders can participate.

Math club runs every Tuesday 4:15pm-5:15pm as an Online Teams meeting. We will register kids for several math competitions.

We will be covering the Art of problem-solving book syllabus and old question papers of the competitions.

Science Club runs every Wednesday 12:55pm -2:30pm, In person (hands on projects), Including science Olympiad competition in January.

We are covering the science Olympiad events in the science club at the elementary level.

 

Please keep an eye on Chatter in September month.  Parents meeting on 30th Sept 6:00-7:00pm in Cafeteria. Deadline for registration is the end of Septembe

Connect with others at the PTSA Family Dinners

Back by popular demand, please join your fellow classmates and their families at dinner this October where you can mingle, chat, and connect with new classmates and old friends.

  • Kindergarten & 1st Grade: Tues, Oct 4th, 6pm
  • 2nd Grade: Thurs, Oct 6th, 6pm
  • 3rd Grade: Tues, Oct 11th, 6pm
  • 4th & 5th Grade: Wed, Oct 12th, 6pm

All family members, including siblings are encouraged to attend. To make it more convenient for families, you can order dinners here. Kids 4 and under are free, 5-11 are $15, and 12+ years old are $20. Dinner orders are due by Wednesday, Sept 28th. If you miss the deadline, you can, of course, still attend but please bring food for your family.

We also always have a neighbor-to-neighbor fund where the PTSA will cover the cost of meals for those who need it, by contacting Principal Steere at steered@bsd405.org. Questions? E-mail familyfun@cherrycrest-ptsa.org.

The PTSA is devoted to the educational success of your children and the promotion of family engagement in schools. We work with the school administration, teachers, and families, like yours, to enrich your student’s experience at Cherry Crest.

This year the main PTSA goal is increasing family engagement at the school to better our student’s experiences.

To do this, we’ve introduced Grade-Level Representatives for each grade level.  They can:

  • Answer your Cherry Crest questions
  • Connect you to PTSA and school resources
  • Introduce you to other families
  • Work with Cherry Crest to spend PTSA resources to best benefit the students in each grade

Their goal is simple – help build a more enriching community experience for you and your student.

We invite you to join our Cherry Crest PTSA and become an integral part of our vibrant school community. Your involvement in PTSA allows you to actively participate in your child’s education and helps us create a nurturing and enriching learning environment for all students. Theme for Art Reflections 2022-2023

Calling all Cherry Crest Artists

The theme for next year’s art reflections has been announced: “Show your Voice!”

Arts Categories
Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts

Arts Divisions
Students participate in the appropriate division for their grade: Primary (Pre-K – Grade 2), Intermediate (Grades 3-5), Middle School (Grades 6-8).

Students who identify as having a disability and may receive services under IDEA or ADA: Section 504 may enter in the Special Artist Division or grade division most closely aligned to their functional abilities.
