Students in grades 2nd-5th are welcome to join the Wednesday after school ski bus offered by Snow Sports Consulting Services (SSCS).

DETAILS

  • Any level of ski experience is welcome from beginner to advanced. This program is for skiing only, no snowboarding. 
  • The program starts Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Summit Central Ski Area and continues for six consecutive weeks finishing on February  12th, unless weather forces postponement. If a cancellation occurs, SSCS will automatically extend the program the number of trips missed.
  • The bus loads at school at 12:30 PM and returns at approximately 5:30 PM in the evening. This program is limited to the first 35 applicants. Adult chaperones from Cherry Crest will also be on the bus.
  • Parents are responsible for meeting students after school to bring equipment (Cherry Crest does not have storage ability) and prep student appropriately for skiing. Once on the bus, chaperones will ensure students are ready for a fun afternoon and rested trip back.
  • Classes begin at 2:00 PM and are 2 1/2 hours long. Lessons are taught by SSCS with 35 years of teaching experience in the greater Seattle area.
  • Important note that season passes and ski rentals are not part of this program. Once registered, a link will be sent by SSCS for a discount on season pass purchases. Students also need to provide their own skis, boots and poles either by rental or owned.
  • Registrations are due by mail by Tuesday, November 19, 2019.

LIMITATIONS

Students in grades 2nd – 5th can join in. This is a ski only program. No snowboarders please! There are spots available for first 35 applicants.
