When a specific robot part doesn’t exist, they design and print their own! Learning 3D modeling is a powerful skill that helps students customize, improve, and innovate their robot builds. In this project-based course, students will use Tinkercad to design and create their own 3D models, turning imagination into real objects. Along the way, they’ll build digital literacy, strengthen spatial reasoning, and gain confidence using design tools while discovering how creativity and technology work together. Best of all, students will take home their own 3D-printed creations!Learning Outcomes:Learn the fundamentals of 3D modeling and 3D printingDesign and build iconic structures and custom creationsDevelop spatial reasoning and problem-solving skillsExplore how design, creativity, and technology connectCollaborate and share ideas in a supportive learning environment Important! 2025-26 school year: PTSA membership required for participation in the program.
