Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) Club

Dear 4th & 5th Grade Families,

We are excited to offer Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) club for 4th and 5th grade students again this year. I have not told your children about the club yet, but I wanted to share the information with families as soon as possible so you have time to talk with your child if they are interested. The club will run in three sessions of approximately 7-8 weeks, aligned with other after-school activities. The fall session will meet on Thursdays: October 22 and 29; November 5 and 12; December 3, 10, and 17. There will be no club during the week of November 16-20 or on November 26.

The participation fee is $20, which will help cover club materials. Up to 16 non-DM player spots will be available each session. If more students sign up then there are spaces, participants will be selected through a lottery. Students may participate in more than one session if spaces remain, but new players will be prioritized.

We are also seeking 3-4 student Dungeon Masters (DMs) per session. Students interested in DMing should have prior DnD experience, complete the DM application by Friday, October 2nd, attend every meeting in their session, and be willing to prepare outside club time. Training, support, and materials will be provided on October 8th and 15th. A student who DMs during the first session is not required to DM all three sessions and may participate as a player later in the year.

All students must be genuinely interested in DnD and able to commit to attending. Players must also agree to a player contract that supports respectful, collaborative storytelling. This includes staying engaged even when it is not their turn and helping create an enjoyable experience for everyone.

Please complete the sign-up form by Thursday Oct 15th here: D&D Club Sign Up.
Students interested in DMing should complete the DM application by Friday Oct 2nd here: DM Application
