Need your help with ’26-’27 PTSA events

Join the PTSA as an event lead, board member or event co-chair and help enrich the student experience and bring our community together. We are looking for leads and co-chairs for all our events. Please email nominatingcommittee@cherrycrest-ptsa.org if you can help.

Along with our G5 students, we also have some of our parents graduating out of the PTSA team this year and next year. We would really like more parents to join the PTSA team in any capacity they can.

Open board positions (requires attending most monthly 1hr meetings): 

  • Co-President: Help our current President drive monthly board meetings, quarterly general meetings and be a voice for the PTSA at various events.
  •  Legislative rep: This PTSA member ensures we abide by all 501c3 regulations to maintain our non-profit status and also follow all WA and National PTA guidelines to keep our membership. This is mostly an advocacy role.
  •  Giving Month lead: Lead the annual fundraiser at the start of the school year to raise all funds needed for the year.
  •  Culture Festival lead: Lead the festival of cultures in Jan/Feb to celebrate the diversity in our school with cultural showcases
  •  Variety Show lead: Lead the student talent showcase in Mar/Apr
  •  Staff Appreciation lead: Coordinate the monthly grade-level staff appreciation baskets and organize the Staff Appreciation Week in May
  •  Walk-a-thon lead: Organize the annual Walkathon event

Event co-chair positions (hands on deck for event planning and execution):

  • Giving Month co-chair (Oct) 2. STEM Night co-chair (Oct)
  • Culture Festival co-chair (Jan/Feb)
  • Variety Show co-chair (Mar/Apr)
  • Staff Appreciation co-chair (May)

Other help needed (not event related):

  • Yearbook co-lead
  • Passport Club lead
  • Website redesign supervision
  • Running Club co-lead
  • Science Club co-lead
  • Match Club/Challenges co-lead
  • Robotics Club co-lead
  • Neighborhood programs like Mariners Game, Kraken Game etc.
