On May 20, runners from the
Sri Chinmoy Oneness Home Peace Run spoke to students about their mission of spreading peace around the globe, performed their peace song and joined students for a few laps around the track with the peace torch. Special thanks to Rupasi Young for including Cherry Crest Elementary on their route for the first time ever!
Congratulations to 5th graders Ender and Parker in Ms. Hemker’s class who both completed a marathon (26.2 miles) and were awarded certificates by Mrs. Stedman in class. Running Club is a free, optional club available to students during lunch recess every day except Wednesday.
