School Food Share program

Are you interested in an easy way to help Cherry Crest Elementary reduce waste and increase available nutritious food to our community?

Then this is the volunteer job for you.

Cherry Crest was the first post pandemic BSD school to implement the EPA’s School Food Share program in an effort to be more sustainable, and we are in need of two or more new volunteers to keep it going.

Volunteers pick up small crates of usable and unopened food from school and take it to Hopelink once a week.

This does involve lifting 1-2 milk crates of up to 40 pounds once each week and delivering them to the Hopelink food bank on Main Street and 148th. The deliveries could be made anytime Monday-Thursday between 8:30-3pm.
