GSA Spotlight: Kelley

Hi Kelley,I am SO thankful you made the Unit 4 math test A into a Forms! I normally use ThinkCentral, but now ThinkCentral is blocked from Adobe and kids can’t use it without Adobe running it. I panicked since I didn’t have another option, but was relieved to find the Forms as a plan B, so thank you! I will plan on having my students use the Forms for all future tests given that Adobe doesn’t work.

First Grade and Kindergarten Return Next Week

The Building Safety and Health Conditions Review Team for Cherry Crest met on February 24, 2021 to conduct a review of health and safety conditions both in the building and in the larger community in order to determine whether or not to expand existing in-person services by another grade-band level at this time. As a result of our meeting, we voted to start in-person services for 1st grade this Monday, March 1st and for Kindergarten this Thursday, March 4.

PTSA Meeting is Tue, March 9th, sign on at 6:45 PM

Please join us at our Cherry Crest PTSA General Membership meeting, Tuesday March 9th, via Microsoft Teams. We like all families and community members to participate and you don’t need to be a PTSA member to attend.

This month we have the Bellevue Education Association (BEA) representatives from Cherry Crest joining us. Heather Depaola, 1st grade and Patricia Gilbert, 3rd grade to talk about the BEA and their role with teachers at Cherry Crest.

BSD Family Engagement Survey

The Bellevue School District is conducting a survey on family engagement in order to strengthen relationships between schools and families. Creating meaningful partnerships with parents helps students succeed both academically and socially. When families engage, student attitudes and behavior are more positive, attendance is better, there are more opportunities to honor diverse cultural backgrounds, and open communication allows us to learn from each other.

March Staff Appreciation – First Grade Families

1st Grade Parents: March is your month!

Join fellow families to show your appreciation! This month PTSA will deliver care packages to Ms. Applegate, Ms. Hayfield, Ms. McGlennon, Ms. Snyder and Ms. Stillwell (GSA).

WISE Summer Camp

Every summer we get amazing campers from all over WA in Wise Camps (non-profit started by two teachers!). We just opened registration yesterday for both in-person and online camps for summer 2021. We typically sell out every summer by June due to limited spots. You can register at www.wisecamps.org.

Scholastic Book Fair – Virtual

The Scholastic Book Fair will be held online from March 1st to March 14th.
