Upcoming for 2022
  • 1st grade students will have a visit from Animal Encounter and meet some animals from Australia
  • 2nd grade students will have visits from The Toy Maker
  • 4th grade students will experience an “Oregon Trails Adventure” field trip
  • More to come…
Curriculum Enhancement (CE) works with teachers to bring in the best guest speakers, scientists, laboratory activities, performers, and musicians for enhanced learning opportunities. All are 100% funded by YOU, our parents; through generous donations to our fundraisers such as the Read-a-thon. Support PTSA fundraisers – they pay for these wonderful activities.

Library Updates and Volunteer training

If you are interested in becoming a library volunteer, Mrs. Lux is offering more training sessions this month.

THANK YOU so much for the current library volunteers who have been coming in to help check-in books, shelve books and help during class checkout time.

It makes such a world of difference for our librarian to be able to focus on students: helping them find books, making suggestions and answering questions they have during class time without tying up the line.

Special Thanks to Cherry Crest Staff and Friends for Snow Removal

The PTSA is grateful for all those who spent time and energy clearing the snow at school.  Special thanks to Office Manager Ms. Connie Kramer who along with her daughter Nicole, son Derek and his friend Jamaal, came in on Monday to provide a head start.  Our heartfelt thanks as well to Head Custodian Ms. Lupita for her relentless efforts Tuesday morning to prepare for students’ first day back.  THANK YOU!
