Read-a-thon Donations & Minutes Due this Friday, December 2!

Help us reach our $50,000 goal to maintain the educational programs and additional classroom support staff that distinguish Cherry Crest as a top school.

Ready, Set…Read!  Read-a-thon starts tomorrow with a pajama party kick off in every classroom!  Check out the Read-a-thon webpage for all the details.  We hope to raise $50,000 to maintain the educational programs and additional classroom support staff that distinguish Cherry Crest as a top school.  Every donation helps!  Questions? Read-a-thon 2022

Ready, Set…Read!  Read-a-thon is Cherry Crest PTSA’s first major fundraiser of the school year. This exciting school-wide event encourages students to use the reading skills they develop in class to raise funds to support Cherry Crest. Students gather sponsors to pledge money, read from November 23 – 27 (over the Thanksgiving break), and earn prizes.  This crucial funding helps maintain the educational programs and additional classroom support staff that distinguish Cherry Crest as a top school!

Important Dates:

November 14-18 – Read-a-thon presentation during Library time, packets go home in backpacks!
November 23 – PJ party to kick-off Read-a-thon
November 23-27 – Read! Read! Read!
December 2 – Reading Minutes and Donations due

PTSA Math Club Tests Their Skills

Around 50 RMS PTSA Math Club students met in the gym after school on January 19 to take a proctored exam on their laptops. This challenge, known as the AMC 8, is one of several competitions Math Club takes part in throughout the year, providing opportunities to test and grow students’ skills. Math Club students also participate in online and in-person (when possible) coaching sessions with adult volunteers and high school age coaches. Kudos to our math competitors and volunteers!
