Community-Based Summer Camp on Cherry Crest Field

PSLA offers 4 weeks of half-day (9am-1pm) summer camp from June 27th to July 22nd for students entering 3rd, 4th, or 5th grades in the 2022-2023 school year.

PSLA offers a wide variety of themes, ranging from theatre to STEM to Olympics, and everything in between. We have designed this camp to be 100% outdoor and fun for everyone. This is PSLA’s third year, and we are extremely grateful to be able to serve the Cherry Crest community.

Camp Kindness Counts: Art Summer Camp Open for Registration

Camp Kindness Counts and East Shore Unitarian Church invite you to a full-day, in-person Summer Camp: June 27 – July 1, 2022!

East Shore Unitarian Church teaches the wisdom of world religions and helps kids to create justice and peace in the world. Camp Kindness Counts believes in the power of kindness to build a happier healthier world and together, we imagine a world of empowered kids bringing their voices and visions for the greater good of our world!

Please consider joining us for an in-person camp this summer. Children will learn through projects, games, exercises, and reflection!

Ukraine Fundraiser and Neighborhood Get Together

A few former Cherry Crest students formed a Cherry Crest neighborhood organization. This volunteer organization, Neighboring Ties, assists senior citizens that need help with physical tasks which they may find difficult to do by themselves. Over the last month they have come up with a new idea: A neighborhood fundraiser to support Ukraine.

Their idea was to get the families of the Cherry Crest neighborhood together on the Cherry Crest grounds. They will serve refreshments and request donations to support Ukrainian families. They are collecting donations through GoFundMe – meaning that all money given will be directly wired to the fundraiser of choice, Razom for Ukraine.

Food Drive 3/7-3/11 at Cherry Crest

Cherry Crest is hosting a Food Drive the week of March 7-11 to benefit Renewal Food Bank in Bellevue.

This food drive is organized by 5th graders from Girl Scout Troop 41164 as a part of their Bronze Award service project to raise awareness for food insecurity in our community. Troop 41164 has girls from both Bennett and Cherry Crest, and are hosting a concurrent food drive at Bennett Elementary.

Food drive donations (see http://t.ly/UNVU for list) can be dropped off in the marked collection bins located in each of the grade-level wings, in the entrance foyer, and outside the covered area in front of the school. These donations will be gathered by the girls daily and delivered to Renewal Food Bank at the end of the food drive.
