Curriculum Night Info

Prioritizing health and safety, all Bellevue Schools are hosting Curriculum Night as a virtual event again this year.  Cherry Crest’s Virtual Curriculum Night takes place on Monday September 27th.

  • 6:00 – 6:20:  Live Teams event hosted by Cherry Crest administration
    • Tune in to hear from Principals Steere and Stedman about our school goals, improvement plans and comm(Unity) opportunities. 
    • Here is the link to the Cherry Crest Live Event on 9/27 at 6:20 pm  (this event will be recorded and shared on our school website)
  • 6:30 – 7:00:  Classroom Teams meeting hosted by teachers
    • An opportunity to hear from your child’s teacher about classroom routines, curriculum and collaboration opportunities to support student learning.
    • Families will receive communication from their teacher with details on how to join their virtual classroom meeting
    • Teacher meetings will be recorded and shared with families who are not able to join live

Back to School Supplies Announcement

As a result of virtual instruction last year and limited use of school supplies, it is not necessary for families or students to purchase or provide any bulk school supplies. Instead, the school will provide all basic school supplies through the year. Your child’s teacher may make individual requests for unique or nonstandard items.

While not mandatory, students in Grade 2 and Grade 5 may wish to bring some of the suggested personal items (not shared with other students) listed at in this article on the BSD Cherry Crest Website: https://bsd405.org/cherrycrest/2021/08/supply-lists/

Essential Back-to-School Information

Principal Dusty Steere hosted a virtual parent informational session on Aug 24, and discussed essential topics about safety and health, lunch arrangements and recess, transportation, school supplies, BSD Virtual Academy, and other related topics.

Quarantine After Travel Requirements

Anyone unvaccinated who travels out of state should quarantine for 7 days when they return to Washington. They should also take a COVID-19 test after the 3rd day of quarantine.

Reporting Absences

Whenever your student will be tardy or absent, please email cherrycrestattendance@bsd405.org by 8am.

Please include your child’s first and last name, their teacher and the reason for the absence.

Family Running Club Update

As the family running club wraps up, we want to congratulate our student milestone achievers! Special thanks to our parent volunteers who made this club possible: Saloni Gupta, Kathy Hotchkies and Yingsi Li.

Also, thank you to Assistant Principal Erin Stedman who has been presenting students with Certificates of Achievement in class and to parent Nhimy Chung who started running club last school year before Covid halted it.

Summer Playdates at Cherry Crest

Join us for summer fun on the school playground to meet neighbors and get to know next year’s classmates.
Kids of all grades welcome at all times—this is a very informal gathering!

Spirit Week and Field Day Information

Students are invited to dress up for our spirit week!

Tuesday – Creative Hair/Hats/Wraps/Face Masks
Wednesday – Fancy Day
Thursday – Decades Day
Friday – Charger Pride/Athletic Gear

Field Day will take place on Friday, June 18th during your child’s asynchronous time at home.

Summer Nutrition Services

Monday, June 21st will be the last day for grab & go meal pick up at our 5 curbside Meals2Go locations (Sammamish, Enatai, Newport Heights Highland and Tyee).

Summer Meal Kits available Thursdays beginning July 1st
To provide continued food support for children in our community, Nutrition Services will offer families a 5-day meal kit to be picked up 1 day per week throughout the summer. The kit will contain 5 breakfast entrees, 5 lunch entrees, fruits, vegetables & milk for each child.
